EC (East Csanyon) 4/10/13
#1
[Image: happy.gif]Panhounden has begun! Me and three of my buddies are headed to EC tomorrow 4/10/13 in search of the elusive crappie spawn at EC. Or some bass action! If anyone would like to chime in or give hints about the Crappie spawn at EC I'd love some input!!! I do pretty well at EC for Crappie at certain times of the year but have yet to figure out the spawn season...[Image: dumb.gif]Any input or advise is much appreciated!

Here's my post with pictures of small mouth bass from mid May last year at East Canyon Reservoir:

They were caught with swimbait from shore in the weeds.

I had my pontoon boat strapped to the roof the whole time. I saw boat fishermen out further yet not catching anything and I think the fish were using weeds in the shallows near shore for cover and where they find food. I used a long rod to steer the swimbait through paths through the weeds. Then lifting the rod tip enables the lure to avoid the high density of weeds closer in by jumping out of the water and landing at my feet.

I just want the road from little dell to open so I can go back float tubing up there for some nice 18" bows and maybe some bass this year.

still too cold for crappies there if your looking to get them in the spawn. wait a month or so and you should be able to find some aslong as the water level is up in the bushes.
ive done well for both crappies and bass but the conditions have to be right or it can be frustrating.
heres a few pics from last spring early summer
