Going to Quail Creek
#1
I'm heading down to Quail Creek on Thursday for a family trip. I am really hoping to get my family on some bass, especially my son and was wondering if anyone has any info on it? We don't have a boat and i have heard that the water temps are in the low to mid 50's and bass fishing has been slow. I would assume the bass are going to be a little deep so it might be hard for us to get to them but was wondering if anyone has any ideas or reports. Any info would be awesome and very appreciated. Thanks!

Bass are moving up and there is a chance to catch some really big largemouth at Quail. Also there are rainbow, crappie but if you goal is to get your family into some fish drive over to Sand Hollow, much better chance of chatching fish and they average over 2lbs with many in the 4 to 5 pound range.
Good thing about Quail it is not as busy as Sand Hollow but overall fishing is much better at Sand Hollow.

Sand Hollow will be much better for bass from the shore. Quail can be real tough this time of year.

Sounds like Sand Hollow might be a better option. Thanks guys! Just out of curiosity, why would Sand Hollow be better for bass? I would assume the water temps for both places are pretty close to the same. Does Sand Hollow just have more bass and so the chances are better of catching them?

I really just want to get them family on some fish but I guess i was hoping for some bass for selfish reasons. If we did try for some rainbows, any ideas on whats working down there?

well sand hollow is more shollower the quail as for the trout in quail just used some power bait right by the boat ramp or the fishing dock at quail the bass at sand hollow are still little deep right now and it has been real windy here the last few days so the water temp drop a few degree at sand hollow and quail
