Hey, guys. I got a question for ya.
I was digging through my neighbor's trash, hauling recyclable stuff to my house, I turned over a can, and something fell deeper in the pile. As I sifted deeper, I found a Ambas
eur 5000C fishing reel. On the thing you spin (I have no experience with fishing), it says 'Ranger', and I guess it's the bottom.... It has a metal strip with this serial number: 087200.
It's in excellent shape, only a few tiny spots of rust that will most likely sand out very easily, and looks like its never even been used.
It's also marked 'ABU Sweden'. Judging from the font it's got on it, I'd say late 70s - early 80s.
Google didn't really pull up much except for that the 'De Luxe' version once sold for $1,700, they seem to be big overseas, and that they seem to be priced right around $250 for a buy-it-now on Ebay.
What I want to know is this: What do I have, what should I do with it, how much is it worth, and how much can I sell it for?
I can get pics if you need them.
Thanks
