The last couple days was really nice fishing ice off at the Berry. The ice has been pulling away from the shore in fast in a few different places. The fishing wasn't fast but stayed consistent for the most part. It was fun to catch some big cuts that put up a great fight and to enjoy some nice spring weather. The word is out that ice off is here, the people were lined up and down the shore today. I would imagine that it's going to be busy up there this weekend.

Nice, I used to love fishing ice off, but I just can't deal with the crowds, next trip to the Berry will be in a boat.

Figures. Froze back over on my last days off, and I don't have any days off for a week. Durn it!

I totally hear you on that one remo. This was my first year to experience ice off at the Berry. It wasn't that bad on Wednesday and the ice was a lot closer to the shore. That place came alive today. I ended up hiking a mile or so and found a nice little secluded bay to fish. It was nice to have the peace there.

Drove by it yesterday on the way home from Matt Warner Res. The ice has pulled away at least 25-30 yds now. should be great tossing jigs and streamer flies now.
