We had a lot of fun cat fishing the last few days. Caught fish like we usually do in June, not in April. Fished in 4ft of water with cut up white bass. Plenty of super fat healthy average ones for eating and a lot of nicer ones mixed in. Gramps got the big ugly male at 30", didn't take weight, dad & the boys got two 27", and a 26", and everyone had plenty of fun reeling in the smaller ones. Little sister just likes to pose with the fish so they look bigger!

Wow nice fish! Something about farther South has to be going on. People are actually catching cats pretty far south on the Jordan River or Utah Lake as well. It isn't going so well a little more north. I think either my fishing locations or bait are in for a change very soon. Wanted to kill myself yesterday, missed 2 Nice ones when they finally started biting worth crap......

Nice going. Looks like some fun times. Kewl that you get the kids out - cats make for some fun tugs. That 30 is a toad! Good going. Bet some of your southern friends wish you were in the contest!

Good work! Always more fun with the little ones in tow, albeit a little more work. We did a little catfishing at Powell, and while we didn't catch anything big, my niece was very excited catching a channel and some bullheads. Nice bullheads down there, with 4 coming in over 12 inches.

The white bass I use for bait are all the small ones we catch while ice fishing in the winter. Sometimes you get onto those dinks ice fishing and the kids catch dozens of them. I've found it's no good to package more than about a dozen per bag or a lot just get wasted because they get too mushy if you try refreezing.

I caught the same smelly skunk saturday morning at the Saratoga harbor. No love inside or outside the rocks.
