Has anybody else noticed growing number of funky fish. I've found fish with slime that literally drops off fish like a two year old snotty noise, swollen lumpy tissue usually around the tails, scaleless bloody spots on the skin that usually protrude, really small mouths resembling a mouth of white fish and the strangest its blood dripping from the anus with no apparent trauma. As far as I could tell they were all kamloops. I can tell you I haven't brought any home as dinner guest even tough fish and humans don't share many diseases or parasites. Anyone else noticed, know what it might be and if it could may be harmful. I've got a few friends in dwr, Idaho f&g and they haven't heard anything.

Haha, I sure did. It is what my dads friends called me years ago to further aggrivate and remind my dad that I consistently caught fish while he was skunked.

Don't know if there's any reality behind the theory, but I know slugs (like the big nasty banana slugs from the NW rainforests) exude slime when threatened.
Would expect that troutlets when stressed probably emit more slime to advance their defense against the dark elements.
Various parasites known to infest the slimers. As for the anal bleeding- I'd expect an ingested hook likely causing internal bleeding as it rusts it's way through. I've caught fish with a hook, split-shot, and swivel sticking out the "back end".
