On our way out, we stopped to pick up a dozen live GoggleEyes from T&T Bait. Fifteen minutesafter leaving the dock, lines were in the water, as I started to troll by thesea buoy in Fort Lauderdale FL. I headed north and trolled over some of ourartificial wrecks located in Fort Lauderdale catching a total of 6 Bonitos and 10 BlackFin Tunas.

It is hard to leave fish to find fish, but the boys wantedto catch a Sailfish, so I stayed to my game plan and set up two kites, with twolive Goggle Eyes from each kite. Adorsal fin appeared on the right long – a Hammerhead Shark - as he grabbed thelive Goggle Eye and devoured it. Forty-five minutes after, the 300 lb. Hammerhead Shark was brought tothe side of the boat for picture taking and was released. Our next predator was the black shadow – billand dorsal fin out of the water as he chased the bait fish around. After eating the live Goggle Eye, theSailfish immediately came out of the water to show his tremendous strength, asthe 50 lb. Sailfish pushed the water out of his way. Twenty minutes later the Sailfish was broughtto the side of the boat, pictures were taken and the Sailfish was released.

I went back to the same place to set up the two kites;another Hammerhead Shark appeared and fifty minutes later was brought to theside of the boat – this Shark looked like the twin of the first one – pictureswere taken and released. Same set up –this time another black shadow appeared – a Sailfish ate the bait from the leftlong and swam off, taking with him ¾ of the line off the reel. As I backed down on the fish, a little boatwas approachin,g and even though we screamed, yelled and blew the horn, theboat paid no attention, kept going and cut the line on us. With disappointment, we went back and set upagain. Right Short!!! Black shadowagain! Sailfish hooked up! The Sailfish was brought to the boat, pictures were taken and released.
