Yes out there 2 weeks ago and trout fishing was great and the fish were fat and healthy fish and nice sized. I fished for small mouth but it was no go I saw them but they weren't interested in me this time but past times I've really slain them but its warmer now so I think they should be biting. Good luck to you

just got back from starvation. trout are doing great and are willing to bite. but they seem to be very fussy on what they are willing to hit, but if you find the right lure look out, action is very hot.walleye bite was very slow but did pick up a very nice 22inch 3lbs eye.perch bite was nonexisent. water temp was 57 deg.f rabbit was best area for us with the bridge being second.[fishin]

spinners trolled at 15 feet down really seemed to be the ticket for bows.p/s average size was about 2 lbs.with several in the 5 lbs range this lake is going to be a world class trout lake within a couple of years if things keep going like they are and the trout aren't over harvested. the i'd like to find out where the perch are though?any thoughts.

I usually get the perch in the shallows there in bunny gulch. The water needs a little more warmth and then I usually go up after the perch.

I have found I do we'll for perch using jigs in the color of red/chartreuse and chartreuse. Tip it with a piece of worm and they can't leave it alone. Walleye too.

yeah thats one of my favorite set ups too. but they wouldn't bite it. and we tried several different times with no luck, trolling was the only thing that produced. but i did see some guys at the fish cleaning station with a limit of large walleye.i did ask them what they were using they didn't look friendly at all and left the station trashed.

Water temp 58in the morning 61 in the afternoon. Numbers of smallies caught was good, butthe size was limited. Worked jerk baits and shaky head jigs with great success.Tried my luck at walleye and was able to boat one but didn’t spend much timetargeting them, did see a lot of them at the clean station though. Bait ofchoice was lindy rig with chartreuse blade and float. Wind was terrible all 4days we were there with a couple hours each day that was calm. Perch were alsobiting down by the bridge in 20 feet of water crappie jigs and worms. Picked afew trout up on cranks working for walleye in 25-30 ft of water.

We just got back from Starvation, took some friends out after trout Sat. and they did very well. The walleye fishing got better each day, water temp is in the low 60's. We had the lake pretty much to our self after 10:30 P.M. Traditional spots were getting hit pretty hard during the day. Plan on hitting Willard for the next couple weeks to help reduce the over abundant walleye population there then a return trip to Starvation for 4 days. It will only get better[fishin]

We hit it for smallies on Memorial Day and did ok, before the wind blew us off the water. Caught about a dozen, most being little. It didn't seem like they were quite up yet. I bet by next week, it will be much better.
