Senior Manager, Partner Applications

Location: Washington, DC

Position Summary:

The Manager, Partner Applications, is responsible for managing relationships with companies who supply products including software, navigational display systems and receiver products used by aviators and boaters. Assigned companies range from smartphone/tablet/computer application developers to manufacturers of traditional aviation and marine navigation display systems. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to efforts to increase Sirius XM's penetration of aviation and marine markets and to achieve highly profitable revenue growth in the face of rapidly changing markets with emerging competition. The individual must exhibit excellent creativity in identifying and exploiting opportunities to advance Sirius XM's interest with partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create effective working relationships with assigned partners, and advocacy within partner organizations leading to timely and high quality implementation of Sirius XM services.

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of partner product lineups and competitive positions among partners and throughout the broader markets.<br />
Maintain awareness of partner product developments that provide important strategic opportunity for Sirius XM services and devise/execute plans to ensure these products fully embrace SXM services throughout their lifecycle.<br />
Identify and recommend new prospective partners that have a high potential to meaningfully impact adoption of Sirius XM services by consumers, and recruit new partners as assigned.<br />
Closely coordinate with services manager to ensure that partner teams are apprised of all Sirius XM services, technical and schedule information relevant to their ongoing development activities.<br />
Coordinate all Sirius XM activities relating to partner product deployments including: service branding of their receivers where applicable, type acceptance, inclusion in Sirius XM marketing materials, and reporting.<br />
Establish a thorough understanding of and bilateral compliance with all material contract obligations pertaining to assigned partners.<br />
Support contract negotiations with assigned partners.<br />
Provide ongoing expertise of partner/product contributions to Aviation and Marine subscriber counts, sell-in and activations, disconnects, and revenue.<br />
Coordinate internally and with participating partners to execute subscriber acquisition programs.<br />
Coordinate with partners to establish and maintain customer support and training materials relating to partner products and ensure dissemination to internal business units.<br />
Exhibit innovation, urgency, and determination in meeting challenges.<br />
Performs other duties as assigned.<br />
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in business, or engineering (software, electronics or telecommunications); or equivalent experience.<br />
5+ years experience with a successful track record in software or product management, smartphone/tablet apps, channel management/sales with relevant knowledge as an avid consumer or a supplier in these areas considered an advantage:<br />
o Aviation and avionics

o Boating, sailing or angling and marine electronics

o Consumer electronics

o Weather services

Technical Skills:

Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Filemaker)<br />
