if you are looking to get footage of your fishing trips I would suggest a GoPro camera system. Those things are amazing. Waterproof, shock proof and HD. Plus they have tons of mounts and harnesses so you can get the footage you want wherever you want.

How deep you plant to go..I had one but got lost, possibly sank or drifted away, took my eyes of it for a minute
![]() I had a Bell and Howell and enjoyed it very much, now I'm stuck with two spare batteries! Also doing some test with a home made water tight container for my head-cam fishing camera which is not a Go pro! Here's some footage of the Bell and Howell,in this video I use it as a head-cam,two video's! check the other reply to your post below for the other video using under water head-cam =) ![]() Skishing P-Bass off beds "live bait" [signature]

Are you looking for something to film? Or something just to view underwater while fishing? If you want to film the go-pro is definately a good option. But for viewing underwater while fishing I really like my Aqua-Vu Micro. I think they have higher end models that have dvr so you can record the footage too! They are fairly inexpensive and really good quality. I especially like how portable it is.

I watched live video of the fish interaction with my lures and how the action I impart to the lures entice fish with sonar also on the screen of my Marcum LX-9 while ice fishing. I have digital video recordings of it. The video quality is high and it's low light capability to dusk is excellent and after it gets darker, I turn on the camera lights.

I'll ditto the Aqua-Vu Micro, although I have yet to use mine on the water. Oddly enough, the first use I made of it was during our home renovation. The workers needed to see something around a corner and through a tiny opening. My Micro (it has infrared self-illumination) worked like a charm.
It fits in a largish shirt pocket, has great battery life, and the camera is the size of a pecan. Amazing. Its only drawback, as far as I can tell so far, is that you really don't know which direction the camera is facing once it's under water, because the flexible feed cable allows it to turn at random. I plan to mark the cable somehow so I know how deep the camera is, too. [signature]

Want some thing to film for like ice fishing I can see what's happening and how they are interacting with lures jigs and baits but I want live footage and something that is easyly portable I'm not looking for a go pro that just records above I want to see the fish how much did u pay for urs and how long dose the battery last on them

Get the Aqua-Vu Micro with DVR. That would be perfect for what you need. I paid around $250 for mine but mine doesn't have dvr. I think the dvr model will run you somewhere around $400, I can't remember for sure though.

The battery on mine is awesome. It will easily last a whole day ice fishing. I've been using it lately at the lakes and I have taken it out about 3-4 times and haven't had to charge it. But I'm not using it constantly like I do while ice fishing.

If you are just talking about filming once in awhile underwater, I second the gopro. It is small, and I attach mine to a PVC pole to get underwater footage. BUT, you can also put it on a chest or a head mount and film anytime.
Only thing that camera doesn't do well is Macro. Even have wireless remotes. [signature]

"Film" isn't clear - to me at least. If you only want to watch what's going on down there (or identify what that school of fish on your fish finder is, which is why i bought mine) then you can get away with the $250 Aqua Vu Micro. But if you want to record and play back (or upload) the underwater views of the one that got away, then you need one with a recorder/DVR. That's the $400 version of the Aqua Vu.
I'm not at all interested in the brag factor, so I got the view-only version. I got tired of seeing suspended fish on my finder and not being able to tell if they were walleye, crappies, smallmouth - or carp. Figured if I could take a lookielook, I'd know perzackly what lure to lower down there. [signature]

I got mine at Cabela's. I think Scheels carries them also. Or you could always order one online.

I bid on one at that "bay" website, and got it for a bit under retail. If you try that route, don't bid over $240.

Cabela's. Screen is large, very clear and bright. It has a video output for as large a screen as you would like to hook-up. MarCum LX-9
