My father and I are headed out to Utah this summer to do some fishing this summer ... we are thinking of staying in cedar city and we're wondering what's around there (within a 2hr drive) ... we are looking primarily for bass any help is greatly appreciated!
P.S. my mother is coming a long and I'm bringing my girlfriend so as much as we'd like to catch big ones action will be more important

Will you be fishing from shore? There are several good lakes within two hours of Cedar city. The closest is Newcastle and it has Wipers, a hard fighting cross between a striped bass and a white bass and I think it has smallmouth as well. There is also Quail creek and Sand Hollow has a good population of largemouth. I think there are a couple more bass lakes but I'm not sure, maybe one of the guys that know a little more about that area can help.

Best bass fishing by far in our area is Sand Hollow. Quail and Gunlock are also very good. Newcastle has smallmouth but hasn't been that good, if you want smallmouth then Minersville reservoir is the place.
Action is important then Sand Hollow for sure. Lot's of nice quality LMB.
