My son and I hit Willard this morning and ended up boating 30+ walleye and several small wipers what a hoot. Good eats tonight.

15 to 20 inches. We caught as many on cranks as we did bouncing. Wipers were small but my wife has a friend who likes them, I don't eat the wipers but they are fun to catch especially on a light rod. Thought I saw you fishing the island when we came by there about 1 or so.

Yuuuup - the cheesehead's got the proof. Lake is ruined!

Just ribbin' ya! Pays to know how to git 'er done! Sure wish I was closer, or gas was cheaper! (and my motor was "stronger").

Well done, thanks for sharing the report.

Hopefully we can get the fishing during the spawn in the inlet stopped and the damn gas companies don't have any more fuel spills in the area, then maybe the walleye fishery will continue as it has for the past 37 years that I have been fishing it. I haven't talked to one fisherman at the bay this spring that was happy that the inlet was opened up during the spawn. I have had my share of bad days fishing on the bay for the eyes, but days like today make up for a lot of those days. For those fisherman who say the eyes don't hit hard or put up much of a fight, if you would have been in my boat today you may have changed your mind. I have never had the eyes hit as hard and fight like they did today, they were very aggressive. [cool]

I'll be headed back to my dad's cabin in Northern Wi. the end of June for some bass and walleye fishing with a charter trip thrown in on lake Superior. Plan on 6 full days of fishing. Good luck to you on your tourneys.
