Oregon surf fishing experience please

In 2 weeks, I'll be on the Oregon Portland area beaches surf fishing. Any personal experience there. I don't want to be skunked. Its probably not the best fishing there, more for crabbing than anything else. We will probably move down the coast. I may try for sturgeon as well.

I watched alot of videos. Any personal experience to share?
