Fishing opportunity for disabled Vet
#1
I am just wondering if there are any fishing oportunities for mildly disabled Vets. I inquired about the BFT disabled fishing event this Saturday and was told that my disability was not severe enought to participate.

Thank You

Interesting!, All vets should be invited in my opinion, for all you have done for each of us, and to have to suffer for it, My hat off to you and all of those who gave so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Wish I could provide an opportunity for you.

Don't know why anyone would tell you that. If you're a vet with any sort of disability you qualify in my book. Shoot me a PM & we'll go fishing somewhere.

Who ever told you that was way out of line..
Who did you talk to and where??

If you can be at the Berry at the time and place of the fishing trip and there will be room for you..

Thank you and everyone else for the fishing invites. I do not want to cause any fuss or problems. I called the guy in charge of the fishing event from a flyer that listed his phone number. He told me that there is limited space for disabled Vets and only Vets with severe disabilities where invited. I believe, as I told the man in charge, this should of been made clear in the flyer. I was a little disappointed that I would not be able to fish in this event tomorrow, but I would never want to be the cause of another Vet with a more severe disability not being able to fish because of me taking up a spot in a boat. I have since made other fishing arrangements.

I live up by Willard bay and would be more than glad to have a fellow vet on my boat. Had I seen this before now I would have cleared a spot in my boat for you for this event.
