Bump! Heading down to painted rocks in the morning. Hope to be there at the crack of dawn. Any tips?

turn and burn!!!!!!!! cover as much area as possible, don't work anything slow, a medium retrieve should be the slowest you work anything right now. cast to points off of deep water, work some shallow bays along the edges, cast out in the middle of bays etc. pretty much hit areas between 2 and 25 feet until you find some sort of consistency. and use something with blades, that vibration goes a long ways in that murky water.

I don't know painted rocks at all,I never make it down that far in my canoe. if it's steep and deep off the edges, rig up some sort of 4-5 inch swim bait with a 3/4 or one ounce head and really work that 12-20 foot depth zone. I was rigging up some 5 inch swim baits on as heavy as 1 1/2 ounce head in order to get them down deep enough, if you don't have anything that heavy than let whatever you're throwing sink for a awhile and use a medium retrieve... You could also troll some deep diving cranks I bet effectively but I like to cast. A few weeks ago it was easy pickins, and last week it was tough and really had to work for them to find em... good luck!
