Questions about Pinveview Ramp Fees:
#1
Sorry if this has been covered before, but after searching im still unclear.

Do they stop charging for the ramp in the fall?

Is the annual pass good for 365 days from date of purchace and where do you buy it?

Does the: America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Annual Pass work there?

Also can you beach a small aluminum boat by the campground overnight?

Thanks.

They stop charging in the fall once they take the docks out. Their pass is NOT good for 365 days. It is only good for the season. I believe you can keep a boat overnight at the Anderson cove campground. As for the rest I'm not sure.

Do they stop charging for the ramp in the fall? [#800000]The fee does in fact stop when the AL&L folks depart. Anderson Cove will be gated as will the Cemetary Point ramp. The Port Ramp will not be gated closed and can still be used to launch - sans docks. The Port Ramp Manager and his wife will depart the first week in October I believe. I don't know when Anderson Cove will close.[/#800000]

Is the annual pass good for 365 days from date of purchace and where do you buy it? [#800000]It is only good for the season of the year in which it is purchased.[/#800000]

Does the: America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Annual Pass work there? [#800000]The Federal passes work for a 50% reduction in camping fees ONLY. They do NOT work for daily/launch fees.[/#800000]

Also can you beach a small aluminum boat by the campground overnight? [#800000]Yes, you can beach any boat overnight by the campground.[/#800000]

Thanks.
Being a every once in a while PV angler and once in a while camper at Anderson Cove...[Wink] all what Mr. Dubob stated is correct WRT all you asked about PV. Anderson Cove camp ground usually shuts down Columbus Day weekend (October) and gates are locked. May be sooner this year depending on weather and currently with the very low water the ramp at the camp ground is now closed.

Thanks everyone for the spot on info. I guess I wont bother buying a pass at this point in the year.

Does the water clarity get better in the fall? I really enjoy sight fishing but this morning the water was like pea soup.

After the ramp gates close for the season, when the ice is on, could an ATV be put on the ice at cemetery point by going over the snow bank?

People do that exact thing every winter at CP.

You can launch an OHV there as well as CP. The difference is that the Port Ramp is not plowed and the CP lot is. Depending on snow depth, Port Ramp may not be usable later in the ice fishing season. The CP lot is usable all ice fishing season long.[/#800000]
