I was woundering if it is still possible to launch at the south marina? A buddy of mine and me are planning to take his boat there. What is good for strippers and walleye? Thanks for any info.

I've never seen a striper or a stripper at Willard, there are a few wipers in there however. Like this nice one I caught yesterday.

Catching is slow right now, so it is hard to say what will work, I was using a deep diving crawfish crank bait when I caught this wiper.
As far as you being able to launch at the South marina, I can't say if the marina is still open but it was last week. The water is very low and you would need to be very careful, no matter which marina you launch from. I think you would be ok if you have a small boat but if you need more than 3 foot clearance I would not try it. Also there are no docks in the water at the South marina.

Yesterday, Monday 16th the south marina was still open. No boats in site coming or going. Two fair maidens on paddle boards were the only ones to venture out. I did noticed the water level was down a bit from last week, not much but noticeable.

Any sustained boils/bird action this year?

No boils and it was dead calm, I stayed until after sunset. I expected we would be seeing some by now. The water was a little clearer than last week but I think it is still too murky.
