Just for the fun of it I thought I would post a picture of the salmon this year in South Prairie Creek, Washington. This is just below where I grew up, and for as long as I can remember the salmon have been this thick and even thicker in the creek. The picture was taken by some friends on their property. And no, you can't fish it right now. And yes, in about a month the stink will be unbelievable!! [:p]

Being in Alaska I am not familiar with run timing there. Are those coho or chinook, can't tell from the pic?

That's pretty cool! Do you know what type of salmon they were?

I was wondering what kind of pink run, if any, OR,WA,ID had, I never hear about them here but, I guess that is not surprising as many people dismiss and/or malign them for no good reason IMO. Pinks are alot of fun on a 5wt and are good table fare if they are caught in the salt. Tough being at the bottom!
