Hi,
I got a used Trap II just before the end of the season last year and it needs some new canvas put on it. The pipes are all good, it just needs canvas. Can I buy just the canvas for it? I sure hope so, cause I can't afford a brand spanking new Clam Trap II.
Thanks,
Dave

I don't know about getting a new canvas for it, but I do know that you can buy canvas a material shops "such as JoAnn's Fabric" Possibly Joe's army and navy surplus shops.
patching and repairing is much cheaper than trying to replace the whole canvas, that will most likely cost you as much as a new clam.
most of these shops have the tools for hand mending canvases, you have a couple weeks before ice sets in.
be sure to take photos of the project, I would like to see them.
here is the link if you are not willing to take on doing the repairs your self

Thanks, I never really thought of repairing the canvas. I should be able to do that, I've been repairing and maintaining things all my life. There may be enough canvas around the edges to make the mends.
Thanks for the tip.
I'll see if I can find a canvas shop around here where I live.
Dave
And you're right, I do have a few weeks till the water gets hard. :-)
