Hyrum Friday
#1
Hit Hyrum from shore on Friday. Caught 8 rainbow and several small perch (4-5")
Worms were the bait of choice today. Caught a couple on Mepps and PowerBait.
None of the fish were bigger than 13" but were fat and healthy. 2 boats launched while I was there (still enough water) Everyone was catching fish until around noon then it all shut off.

Hey that would have been me in the one boat. Great morning on the pond. We got 26 between the 3 of us, had 3 over 15.5" with the biggest at 17" but the rest were 13" to 9.5"... Which group were you, at the launch, swim beach or in the SW corner? Quite a few folks still fishing for a weekday. Couldn't ask for a nicer day to fish it was gorgeous. Glad you got a great day as well. Later J

I was in the group at the SW corner. What a beautiful day to sit on the bank and catch a few fish.

I was surprised how fast it gets deep off the bank at this level. It probably makes bank tangling really good. The east end is really shallow, but the west end is still pretty deep even though its down a long ways. Glad it's still a good fishing pond. This will be a different year for ice fishing, my old spots are too shallow. I'll have to find a new spot I guess. Later J
