The grass is allways greener,,,,,,,,and I spend most of my time and money in Utah becasue of the great fisherys and have to give allot of credit to the DNRs management for doing a good job. Wayne at lake powell is unmatched in his field. The Gorge has both trophy lake trout and kokanee. I totallly understand the live bait arguement, someone gets done at the end of the day and empty the bait bucket into the lake and next thing you know you got something new established in lake. Over here some ahole put perch into Blue Mesa, they exploded and allowed the small lake trout to expand because of the new forage base, sound good right, not when they eat all the kokanee fry . So the answer over here is to kill the lake trout, our DNR nets and kills lake trout on BM 6000+ netted and killed.Blue Mesa was headed to being the next Flaming gorge, not now those 20-30 year old fish are gone and will not be repalced in my life time. THey recently posioned 2 lakes Paniona and Miramonte , trust me the grass is greener in Utah!!!
