Last week both boulder creek and sugarloaf were at 4" thick of good solid blue ice. I walked out from Van Wick earlier today and the ice looks good and thick...I didn't have an auger with me but I wouldn't hesitate to bring a four wheeler. Bring your cleats! Very smooth conditions out there.

By the way, this is my first post so hats off to ya'll and thanks for having me be a part of this.

we went up today to try by the dam but the lack of people out their scared us off to horsethief. It was a good choices 23 rainbows in three hours between 4 guys ice was good 3 to 6 inchs every where we drilled had the lake to our self it feels good to walk on water again we are planing on cascade next sunday if this cold weather last much longer we will be able to ice fish cj again this year xmas came early this year for us ice fisherman

I would throw the caution flag on Sugarloaf...

I tossed a rock several places around Sugarloaf yesterday and they went right through... You might be able to fish east of the island, but there was less than an inch on the main body yesterday afternoon. I took my atv from the ramp down the beach and around the point toward the island (on the shore) and the whole stretch was the same, an inch maybe.

Boulder Creek was 4-6" however...
