Sunday 12/15 Good start at Rockport
#1
I headed up to Rockport a little late and finally got on the ice at 9:30ish. What a great day being out of the inversion of the valley. Fishing wasnt great but good enough to keep me interested for a couple hours. Just happy to be out to tell you the truth.

Attached is a pic of the keeper of the day. Nice bow with lots of fight. Looking forward to many more days like this.

How thick is the ice and what was your favorite lure of choice?

It was about 5 in' on the west side. Didnt really explore many spots but there were plenty of machines milling around. I had the most action on a green gitzit. I was only there for a few hours but Ill be back soon and see if I can increase the action with some different lures.

Ya, I saw a couple over by the dock and my father drove his from the dock across the lake to the west side. I think the ice is pretty even all the way across now.

Fishing wasnt what id call amazing but i did manage a handful of perch and some nice browns while fishing on the bottom.
