Yesterday I decided too check out echo first but first I had too pick up an amazing deal for a camera for $30 16.1 mp Nikon cool pix so far I'm extremely happy with the quality comparing too the cruddy ipod touch I had. After that went to Dick's for exchange on my ice auger because the blade broke but in the mean while picked up a nice new light ice rod for $20.
In the morning I thought it was suppose to be extremely foggy but nope no fog till driving back. Not a single cloud in the air even in the morning.
From that big delay finally got on track too echo. Got up there around 12pm took all my ice gear even my tent thinking too fish a few spots from last year that was good but not a nibble too give in 1-2 hrs. Fished from 20-30ft not a sign of any perch or bows. Ice was 6" solid. Watch out some edges are extremely week broke one foot in 1 ft of water.
After that disappointment head toward Pine view by the boat ramp drilled holes everywhere in the boat dock area and once again not a single nibble went out too 30-40 ft in the middle of the lake had 3 small hits but nothing for dinner. Stayed till 6pm. Ice was 3" of cloudy and 3" of solid ice. Was planning to fish late at night before I was a big crack circling around me that made my mind change fast about a night trip.
After driving for 1 hr and getting close to home made a short trip to my secret pond because that place always got one or many bg, sf, or bass. End up catching one 5.5" SF.
Like I say one is better then none at least. Enjoy the better quality pictures and the horrifying cigarettes and chewing tobacco.
