Merry Christmas/ First Mantua Trip
#1
Merry Christmas too everyone especially the great people who shared some info where too hit as well hats off too tube dude for his great jigs and knowledge how too fix the old fish finder. It was very helpful. Fishing wasn't fast and furious but it made an amazing Christmas ice fishing extravaganza.

Finally went to Mantua for the first time in my life after all of the years passing it by while going back home from bear lake as a kid. Was suppose too be up there at 7 am or earlier but my stupid phone shut down when it was fully charged for no reason. Got at the parking lot about 11am. First I for some blood but there was no blood but some dinky bg that indicated someone caught something in that area [angelic]. Tossed TB jigs down the drain and instant hits. Most hits today were like little taps. Bows were marked at 11ft but in 2-3 ft depth, BG from 8-11 ft on the bottom, perch 13-14 ft, and the bass 13-14 ft.
End up catching 3 bows range from 12-14.5", 7-10 Perch from 2-8.5", and BG 10-15 6.5-8".
Didn't really know where too go but I call it a pretty good fishing trip out there for the first time and had no clue where too go. Drilled probably about 15+ holes experimenting around the lake.
I found king mantua throne.

For the first day out there what I say about this lake you get into the nice size or the dinkers. There are no middle class perch [laugh].

Bowl of weed for the day. Hope there were no blood worms on there that ruined a fish dinner.

One happy 10" LMB

Little thing that I heard on the radio coming back home.
Christan use too go to church on Christmas day, the Jews celebrated 12 days of Hanukkah, and the Atheist roam around on the streets telling you too watch out for the wall.

Ya for sure. That's my second bass I've caught through the ice ever and in this year. Sadly my stupid old cell phone cant transfer pictures unless if I pay for the stupid texting or buy a sd card and put it in my old phone and get that through.

Yes I'm a good boy but would of liked a little more love on the ice from the fishy visitors.

[#0000FF]Ya done good for a first trip...better than some of the regulars do on most trips.

You gotta get back on Mantua about May or June. Very flyrod friendly.

Glad the sonar worked for you. How do you like the floaty rings for the transducer?

Ya I feel in love with this camera with from how of high quality it get's when you buy it from walmart for $100 but I snagged it barely used for $30 basically no scratches to barely any, high quality, and the ability too take pictures at night can't complain. [angelic]

Tube dude haven't been on the ice this year but if you were talking about me I was the last one off the ice that day in a red eskimo 3 tent. Left around 6pm. Wanted too see if I could catch anything at night but any too no nibbles too give. Some how found my trout hole and saw a few group of dinkers swimming around but no interest.

Couldn't of done it without all of your help.

So far it's doing pretty well might get a showdown with all of my gift cards from scheels tomorrow and give it a try on Sunday trip somewhere.

That was us to the north in the black 2man tent. I was pulling my girlfriend across the ice on the way back. I am sure you probably heard her yelling at me to slow down haha.

I thought that might of been you but we decided to just keep on trucking. I was in the brown minivan with VA tags

Ya I'm not really sure if I heard any yelling but I really enjoyed my day out there. As well I don't remember what cars were there. The only thing I know that I was behind a white truck and the last one out off the ice [laugh].
