stellar scofield fishing
#1
stellar scofield fishing we fished from sun up until 4 pm fished all over the lake in 8 to 12 feet of water we used everything in our boxes and could not keep the fish off our lines we did our best in 6-8 feet of water don't laugh but between three of us we iced more than 200 cutts
no rainbows and just 2 large tigers

yes you read right over 200 trout iced today
we had a wild fishing from 11 until 3.30 where we had 6 lines in and 6 fish on it was wild we ran out of bait by 4 pm and desided we had better get on the road since we forgot to look out side and see that we were covered with new snow the roads were snow covered and slick and we never even had time to eat our lunches some of the fun things for the day were watching the fish slam our camera and a few try to taste it.

all and all we had a great day we will try to post our short video and some pictures also I caught fish even on our beer bottle cap lures...

scofield is alive and well!!!!

Great report and glad to hear you had such a great outing. I look forward to seeing pics and the video!

Where on the lake did you fish?

Very nice. If I did my math right (it is super late and I am tired), and assuming that sun up means 7 thirty am and you left at 4pm - then you fished for 8.5 hours. If you three caught at least 200 fish, that is 23.5 fish every hour. That equals 0.4 fish a minute. Better put, that is 2 fish every 5 minutes for you guys!

We think alike, I did the math too, but I never figured in how many guys there were. Could have a been a 10 guys or 2. It just referred to (we) caught 200 fish !

I don't have exact count but before we hit our honey hole I my self had caught 20 plus then we got set up about our shak and begin to hammer them none stop it was like fishing in the hatchery we dropped the camera down and it looked like an over stocked aquarium just packed with small cuts and a few larger ones they did not just mouth the bait the attacked it. at that location I was cutting worms in thirds to tip my jigs i went through two containers of worms and 2 containers of wax worms
I even hooked a small cut at the hole dangling the bait trying to rest..
there were three of us two rods each and we had several triple hook ups and several times we each doubled up at the same time.

it sounds like a fishing story but you seem to think you know better I was maybe catching 15 to 20 fish an hour with two rods.
we did it before with a school of perch and again with white bass we were honestly sitting on top of the largest school of cuts I have ever seen we never had a time that we did not have fish all over the camera and we watched them just swarm our baits no t one or two trying to grab it but several at a time were trying to get your bait.

Awesome. If it doesn't happen fast, I might have to get back to actually working, instead of reading fishing reports! [Wink]

Dang I wished I could figure out where all these fish are at in scofield. I went up there today and fished for about 5-6 hours. It was way too windy to be moving around too much so we set up the tent and stayed put. It was me and the girlfriend fishing 3 poles and we caught about 20 fish.

All cutts except one dinky little bow and one fat little chub about 9-10 inches. Turned everything back except the chub, he got an ice pick through the head and then the crows ate him.

Sounds like you had a pretty decent day. [cool] 20 fish not all that bad and no smell of skunk I would say is the best thing.
