porcupine

Tried porcupine friday mourning and it was very slushy with rotten shore ice. If you go there before it gets cold again take a plank and some rubber boots.

I was there Saturday and a friend went to get his footing to jump and fell through to his knees. Only caught one fish in the morning and that was it.

So I've fished porcupine a few times since I've been going to school. Found out that all the browns have mercury so I don't keep those anymore. Been looking to get into some kokes but have never seen one. Haven't caught a fish through the ice up there yet. Been skunked every time. Anyone know where to find them? We tried close to the inlet on the far east side drilling holes almost to the middle of the lake and didn't see a fish on my camera. Are they close to the dam usually?

100 yards off dam
Any where is good
12-18 feet below ice, within an hour a school will come in? You wil have your limit in ten minutes once the bite starts

Take em take em all , they are tiny 10-11 inches
