Hit Fish Lake up and was great! Ice was 7"-11" depending on location. Started in 19' FOW ended the day in 98' FOW. Few pictures of the trip!

I don't see any drifting snow in the pics, so it looks like the weather worked out as well! Glad you lived up to your avatar name.
IMHO they ought to remove any limit on the perch there. I wonder why they haven't. [signature]

How was the wind? Headed there THursday through Sunday with 25-30 of my closest friends. Some of them have never ice fished before, hoping for some good days without the typical hurricane.

Hate to be the bear of bad news...The 'W' was terrible! All day never stopped but, the fishing didn't die either. Take extra ice bolts and extra paracord. Good Luck! [signature]

I too am headed up Friday morning till Monday with a large group. We hit FL every year for the MLK holiday. I hope share in the perch success as you did.
Can I ask, what depth did you find the most productive and with what rig? Did you run into any splake? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Looks like you had a blast. Stay tuned for my post on Tuesday. [signature]

Perch first the go after a limit of trout! Good Luck! [signature]

I was wondering how those two big groups did up at Fishlake? I am headed up with my wife and I am at a loss as to where on the lake we can go with this years open water.

Fish is mostly frozen. Only the middle of the main lake was open Sat and looked like it skimmed over by Monday. Saturday was a zoo people fishing all along the south, west and north shore. Perch were biting and our group caught a lot of trout Sat but that dropped off Monday. We fished north from 15 to 40ft. Perch mostly in 20ft but I was finding some of the larger fish out in 30ft.

Stan55,
How far north where you? Joe Bush or more northeast?. How thick was the ice on the north end? We where up there last Sat and it was pretty slow in our area (just north of Lakeside) for alot of people. [signature]

straight out from Joe Bush and a little west. Ice was 8" thick. Ice is really slick. We seemed to be doing better than the groups to the east of us. Not sure how the fishing was in the narrows. A group dropped by who had been fishing the south end and said we were catching larger perch than they had.
