With the upcoming Burbot Bash this next weekend, I did a drive by Flaming gorge to checkout ice conditions. There is ice in the backs of bays and that was it, although Lost dog had plenty of ice.

Thanks Jerkern1015. One question where was that last pic taken. Looks sketchy I will be at the burbot bash unless that is what lost dog looks like.
Thanks

Fished the Gorge Wed - Sat of this past week. Lost Dog/confluence had 12" + ice, but fishing was very slow, only saw 1 fish caught and saw very few on the finder. Buckboard bay had 5"+ near the ramp, but tapers down to 2" near the ice/water boundary. Saw a decent number of fish, but they were pretty picky. Ended up icing 5 rainbows and 1 mac over a couple days. At Buckboard north, the ice doesn't even extend to the mouth of the bay. Good luck!

So did it look like there was good ice from Lost dog north? Sounds like good ice at firehole.... I just wonder how the rest of the ice is from the confluence up to firehole.
