First Time at Burbot Bash

Great times, caught a paltry number of burbot; but I will definitely do this again next year!

Glad you had a good time. Last year my sense of it was most anglers were in the paltry numbers and a few in the jackpot numbers. With burbot it's all about finding the schools. You either do or you don't. What was your sense of how others did this year? What part of the Gorge were you on?

We fished between Lost Dog and Firehole. Bigger numbers apparently were way up the Green River side. I recall the top catch total was 282; I don't recall the other stats without referencing the tournament results.

My team's technique with catching was sound with no missed hook sets or lost fish at the hole. They just weren't in our area in large numbers or with any consistency.
The groups around us hit near the same number of fish we did for the weekend.

Different location next year for sure!
