got to pineview this morning at 5o clock. the road to the marina once y get off themain road is pretty bad!!if you don't have a 4WD vehicle I would park somewhere else.. the ice looked way bad on my walk down the ramp but I wore my hunting waders because I knew it was going to be real sloppy and I was definitely right. there is about an inch of frozen slush on top of 7 inches of not frozen slush, on top of about 13+ inches of good ice. if you aren't wearing waders or high muck boots you will get wet.. to make it even worse when I left it started raining/snowing. it was very wet stuff coming down. but the important thing is fishing was hot. I fished for about 4 hours and caught 30+ fish and missed Atleast that many more.. all small crappie with one decent 11 incher.. hopefully I. can get out one more time before you need a boat to go on to of the ice.

How far out did you go? Mind if I ask where you were fishing? I am thinking of doing one last trip (and apparently I'll be wearing waders) before I put away the ice gear. Have the edges pulled away at all?

I was over by Browning. Same thing 4 or 5 hours. 30 + fish most small crappies. I do not think it matters where a person ends up as long as they have electronics. There was another guy near me who fished. 2 or 3 hours and did not get a bite .

Ya that boat ramp was awful. I was moving around the lake at night today hit that road and didn't notice how much was it. Luckily my small ford taurus had a good owner who knew how to get out of that terrible road safe with out getting stuck but it was a nightmare seeing it not snow plowed [mad]
