Took a trip to the mighty salmon river thursday. Fished well below shoup, Hit holes at rams head, ebineezer, clam, and a few others. My buddy caught one small snot rocket hatchery fish drifting beads and hooked two others that didnt make it to the bank. Not my day as i caught a few trout and whitefish.(i think that puts me in the negative[crazy] for this year.) Lots of slush but ended up dancing around it later in the afternoon. It was fourty degrees all day. made it nice for fishing. Bank ice at places was sketchy and way soft. Had lots of fun. Would love to hear any other reports. Thanks.

Thanks for the report! Did you see many other people out? President's Day is usually my first trip of the year up that way but gotta go to Chicago for work instead this year. Oh well, maybe next weekend...

Huntsman, I dont know. we didnt get there till midnight and left after dark...so i was unable to tell. It has been really warm highs in the high 30s and low 40s with the lows in the 20s so if that keeps up it might not take to long.
