I took my kids out Sunday for a few hours to the Spur. It took awhile to locate the carp but once I did it was on from there. Last year when I was out there around mid June the grass was so thick that I could not use my electric motor to move the boat around an sneak of on the carp. This year though the under water vegitation is sparce and I was able to use the electric motor to sneak around. I was able to take 8 carp with 3 of them over 18 lbs, with the last one tipping the scales at 23 lbs. I attached a picture of my 12 yr old holding the 23 lbs fish for comparison.

Very cool! We were out there on Saturday morning, but the weather really sucked! Cold, wind, and cloudy. We only stuck one carp.

I took my oldest son out again on Sunday and he shot a 19 pounder.
I shot 3 carp over 21 lbs. 1 21lb and 2 23 lbs.
The weather was great but the weeds are starting to fill in and once it does it will be next to imposible to hunt it unless you are poleing or driving the mud buddy the whole time.
