First time on the pond this year, I was accompanied by my oldest grandson, his girlfriend, & my oldest son. Had baits in the water about 0730. We were running two planer boards with cranks and two down riggers, one with a crank and the other with my special worm harness. Ended up with our limits of wipers and walleye with one nice channel cat in the 4 lb. range and headed off the lake about 1230. Fish were pretty eager to bite. Looks like as of right now if you can put a lure in the water you are probably going to catch fish. My grandson's girl friend had caught wipers before but never a walleye, she ended up putting several nice walleye in the live well that went 20 to 22 inches. They are not as healthy looking as the eyes we caught last weekend at Starvation but made a nice mess of fillets anyway. We didn't fish the hotspots the majority of boats were fishing, but found the fish pretty much scattered across the lake. It was a beautiful morning with a breeze out of the North to keep the bugs down most of the time. We will probably hit it again this Friday for a 2nd round. [fishin]

Will be joining you on Friday with a couple friends and father in law. Dad always gets first pick in the boat and we have been having a great time on Willard this year. Have made some great memories and hope to make many more. Good luck on Friday.

I will probably launch out of the North marina, I have a Dr. appointment at 0700 so it may be 0830 or so before I get out there. I'll be in my old Crestliner. She's a Tournament 202 black over tan with American Flag decal on each side.

Pack fan if you don't mind what do you recommend for the walleye and wipers there at Willard? I have never caught either. Thanks goodwrench.
