Charging a marine battery

I have a 24DC battery for my minn kota 30# on my pontoon. I'm going camping for a week with no power. My trailer has an inboard generator and I have a battery charger any idea how long it takes to fully charge? Any other suggestions?

Welcome to the site DG33. I did the same thing a number of years back while fishing Strawberry. All I had was a electric trolling motor and I pretty much drained it the first day. I let it charge for several hours before I went to sleep but that was not enough time to fully charge it. If you can change it over night it would be better imo but at home I usually charge my trolling battery for 24 hours.

Does your RV have the same battery?
How many hours a day will you be running your genset?
The fastest way to charge is altenator on truck while driving.
If you had multiple batteries, solar would work.
My boat batteries usually take all night to recharge with 10 amp on board.

I'm not sure what kind of battery is on my trailer but that's a great idea. We normally don't run the generator very long. I will have to check out the battery on my trailer and see if I can swap it out since there are two.
