Took my two buddies to one of my favorite lakes for a go at some tigers and possibly some Cutts. We got to our starting point around 8:30 and headed out. We got to our destination around 8:50 after a .5 mile hike. Nobody around. Complete solitude.

My buddy started with a Hot Pink UV Rapala and on the first cast got a nice tiger that cut him off. Me and his brother threw some streamers and for about a half hour we didn't get anything. In that time period his brother had caught a couple nice sized tigers on a perch colored rapala. We changed flies and on my first cast I caught my first tiger...on a green popper! My buddy then caught his first tiger on a pine squirrel leech I had tied up.

I had packed my tube with me and decided to give it a go but the fish decided to quit feeding...go figure! We left around 11:30 with hopes of getting my buddy his first grayling...but no luck.

We ended the day with about 20 tigers in about a 2.5 hour time period. Not bad. Most fish were between 13"-17" and hefty! It just goes to show that even a half mile hike will get you away from the crowds. We're planning on taking our better half's with us next time for some fun.

Sounds like fun. I shall be up there for at least 1 week or longer depends on how long I feel like my body want to stay after all the hiking I will be doing.
