Water temperature at Strawberry Fri

Water temperature has a major affect on fish activity and All fish have a preferred temperature range in which they are most active and, therefore, more susceptible to being caught.
Rob Chambers from RMT said preferred temp. for Kokanee is 52deg
I have heard of 54
So the water temp. at Strawberry Fri 7/18/2014 at about 11: AM was
70 deg on top

Fri I was running my downriggers from 33 to 39
saw fish at 45 feet, did put one rigger at 45 but did not get a bite.

Agree the water temp definitely affects where you'll find which fish. When we were there last Thursday - all our kokes were on the bottom depth bait or 50-55ft (we stack our down riggers) and all the cuts and bows came off the upper bait (about 15ft above the lower).
