I hit SC side with two friends, fished all day yesterday, camped and fished today til we had enough of the on and off rain. Fishing wasnt great but we did manage a few. Marked a lot of fish at 30-40ft. Yesterday i tried all the trolling gear i have and managed a 20" cutt on pop gear and a wedding ring with PB, along with a few bows on a dodger and squid. Today the weather was clear in the morning. Started trolling and didnt catch anything so i moved onto tube jigs. Managed to catch a 21" cutt on the first cast and continued to catch one after another for an hour or so. One swallowed my whole tube when i put my rod down for a second to tie a knot for my friend. Switched to fly fishing to give my friends a chance. They caught one cutt each and i managed to get a monster(22+) to bite my fly next to the boat but spit it before i could set the hook. Just when we thought we were going to have a good day the storms rolled in again and we gave up.

Nice work! What was the water temp? Also any signs yet that the lake is starting to turn over?

Thanks for the update! I haven't been up there for a month and was hoping the cooler temps with the storms could bring fall fishing here quicker!

Temps in my area ended around 63. I was hoping the low temps and cloud cover would make fishing better but its was not fall fishing. It was better for me when it was calm and sunny. I had a short but good run the second day that made the trip worth it. That and getting my friend from PA his first cutt that was a little over 18. He got to watch it chase and attack his lure close to the boat to make it more exciting.
