Product demo video, Not-A-Knot
#1

This product is made by Berkley. I'm getting tired of needing glasses to tie a knot, so I'm hoping this product will help. We shall see how it works on my next fishing trip but the strength and reliability are guaranteed.

Dude, that thing is huge.
Seems like having a snap swivel tied to your line, and having your go-to lures/rigs tied up in advance with leader with a loop knot on the end would be much easier, and prolly wouldn't effect your action as much as that thing.
Just my dos centos.

I fail to see how it's any different than having a Duo-Loc snap on the end of your line - except that this is bigger, bulkier, and even more likely to spook a fish.

For the cranks and other lures I troll with, this likely won't be noticed, now for that small lure I was using in the video and jigs, it will likely be too big but I'll give it a try and see what happens while trolling.
Rocky, the point of using this is to make it easier to tie on a lure without glasses, younger guys won't need to use it but for me it will be a lot easier to use and I really doubt it will make a difference to the fish.

Noticed a lot of people questioning if it will work or not. I'm sure it will. Fish are not as shy as some would have you think.

Have you tried running it on cranks though? Might change the "pivot" point on the bait and change the action, for better or worse.

This is what I got to help me see and tie knots.

I just found them and will try them for the first time on Wens. I will likely use them while trout fishing. I'm going to connect one to a dodger and a Epic lure. I really doubt it will matter on that set up but I'll tie on another, to a Rapala, on my other line and see how it does.

Thanks for sharing Curt. However, I agree with Rocky. A properly sized Duo-Loc snap is much smaller and allows you to unhook one lure and connect another one very fast and easy. I just tie on the Duo-Loc snap at home the night before and am able to easily switch out lures all day long.

Question; do you, or have you, used Duo-Loc snaps?

Please don't think that I mean to dis you for putting up the video. I enjoy these kind of things being shared with us. I just think the Duo-Loc snaps have the advantage over that not-a-knot thing.

I see your point Rocky and Ralph and yes I'm using the Duo-Loc snap now. I'm actually going to try connecting one to a Duo-Loc snap while fishing, to check out how they work together but the whole point that you guys are missing is that I won't need glasses to connect it. I usually try a bring glasses when I go fishing but sometimes I forget, then when I lose a snap and have to tie on a new one, I'm holding the line up to the sun or where I can see it just right, so I can see how to tie a knot. This usually takes me 5 minutes or longer. this does not happen every trip but when it does, this thing might be worth a shot, if it works without causing any lose of action from the lure.
Thanks everyone for your comments, I'll give it a try and report back on how it performs.

Speaking of glasses, I keep a dedicated pair of reading glasses in my tackle box. Wouldn't leave home without them.
