Any chance you forgot to indicate whether or not there is a cost for this tournament?

Good catch.

Fee is $15 (same as last year) and is collected when you register online.

I know it states it is a rainbow trout only tourney, and I know it is probably too late to change the rules - but for future tournies maybe there could be prizes for chubs. Most caught, biggest, etc. kind of a spin-off of the burbot bash theory.

So how thick is the ice today (Monday 24th). Is it safe for the weekend?

The CHUB portion of the tournament will be happening this year. We are figuring out prizes, etc for the chub portion, but YES it will be part of this years tourney.

We will post the chub portion of the tournament here soon and we will also email all of the participants as to how that will be handled. We want as many chubs out of that lake as possible.

We were out on the ice on Friday the 21st and it was easily 3 or 4 inches thick. I also had a report today that there are a couple of spots that are struggling to freeze. So my response would be that parts of the lake should easily have 6 inches of ice. Others will be pretty thin for another week or so.
