Firehole Ice?

How is the ice at the Firehole? We usually go during the holidays for some Burbot. I've been seeing some low temps in Rock Springs.

Sorry no first hand info but in most years there is ice there by now. This being a warm Fall all bets are off but if it stays cold, it will likely be soon. Hopefully another member can give you some better info. By the way, welcome to BFT.

Thanks for the tip. I went to that forum. The rumor on there is that there is 6" of ice at the Firehole ramp. It hasn't been confirmed yet.

I called Buckboard Marina today in Wyoming. I was told there is ice at Firehole, but it's not safe to be on.

I asked ryno the division of wildlife for flaming gorge he said there is 6" but open down stream from there.
