Fun weekend ice fishing
#1
Ice fished my secret fishing spot this past weekend. Killed them both days, Saturday and Sunday 50+ fish days between 4 of us. We could not keep them off our lines. Here are some pics.
I am glad that you chose to keep this place a secret, with how low the water has been there in the last few years it can not handle the pressure of all the people. We have fished here for 8+ years. How thick was the ice if you don't mind me asking?

I have had some amazing trips to that reservoir through the ice. Nice fish for that place.

Thanks, the ice was 7 inches thick. There was only one group out on Saturday but they didn’t stay long, Sunday we had the whole lake to ourselves. This is one of my favorite lakes to go to, first time ice fishing it. I sure hate seeing it so low too, it is the lowest I have seen it since we have been going there.

Thanks man. I'm addicted, I am already wanting to go out again but half to wait until the next weekend. Dont think I will be making it up there again. Not after yesterday and today’s storms. Have you been walking on water yet?

Unfortunately, no ice trips for me yet this season. Rough year. Hopefully things change and the new year brings new scenery! Until then, your ice trips keep me wishing!

The road in will get packed down in between storms. Should be able to make it back up in a few days after these storms. They keep a nice pool in there even in these drought years. Those fish will be fine. Nice haul buy the way !

The road is usually fine through out the year. The last couple hundred yards below the dam are the worst. The lake has been like this for 2 years now. From what I have heard is that they had trouble getting the right parts to fix the dam. Hopefully they will get it fixed this spring.

Awesome! Gives me the Jones for the hard deck. Hope the ice starts forming in my neck of the woods soon. Great job man!
