Don't give up on her yet! I'm still on the ice as I right this report. I'm getting ready to pack it up for the day. I fished solo and I arrived at the lake right at first light. The sunrise coming up behind the Tetons was amazing.. My rig said the temp outside was -14. I knew not being in a hut was going to be short lived so I spent the first hour just punching holes looking for where I thought the perch would hold. Once I found the spot and what they wanted to eat, it was a steady bite till 1pm. I ended up keeping 25. I had to keep Some of the little 4 and 5 inchers because the hooks tore them up really bad. I ended up with 10 at 6 inches, 4 at eight inches and one 9 inch fish. I lost the three biggest fish I hooked today right in the hole. Two of the lost fish looked to be about 10 inches and the other was an absolute monster. Think cascade perch! which I never expected to see in this lake. I probably released just as many little ones as I kept. They aren't cascade fish but they definitely aren't Roberts gravel pond fish and I'll take that any day.
PM me for specifics on what I used and how I found the fish. Pictures included below!
