Strawberry ice conditions

I have read a few reports about ice thickness on different parts of the lake. I am headed up tomorrow and would like to fish around the marina, but I can go to my usual spots in soldier creek if need be.

Can anyone who has been there lately just tell me ice thickness and what area you were in?

Plenty of ice as far as i could see from 40 towards to marina. I could see a tent city way out there so im guessing its good to go. Roads are plowed and snow packed.. Do you or anyone know how far you drive on the SC road in the winter? Do only dam workers and rangers have access?

They usually plow up a big pile of snow blocking the soldier creek road to the dam. We have friends with a cabin on that side and the only way in is by utv or snowmobile during winter. I am not sure the current condition. I will let you know tomorrow.

Was on the dam road today. No vehicle access other than snowmobiles or other tracked vehicles.
