Got to the res just about light. Ice is 8 +neer boat docks if warm weather returns have to have long plank or water boots to get on. Caught 2 trout first 2 minits. then they turned off as the sun hit the water. Used worms, powerbait waxies, mealies, on home tied ice flys . If you go, go early or maybe late afternoon. buddy caught one jumbo perch. don't know about ice near the dam. Joe

Thanks for the report Joe, how long was the walk down to the ice? Any problem finding a place to park?

parked by the boat dock entrance plenty of parking b its the best place to get on the lake. not a long walk. better than trying to fight rocks and brush.

I got there a little late in the morning and stayed for a couple hours. Didnt see much activity but managed to pull out a 17" Brown. Almost lost it at the hole too.
Edges were definitely soft...
