#1
just read a report on one of my hunting boards that there is a little open water now at redmond. But the ware it out a bit. there is about 4 to 5" of ice at the boat ramp with a few holes there he thinks done with shot gun. so hopfull we will have open water by the 31 to fish it right. I'll try to keep the info coming because I want to fish it bad. I need to hook a fish will TEETH soon.

Hey maybe I should go hook soom from the ice to show up IFG.

Moose,

I would love to see some toothy critters come though the ice. I've got a few back in the day, but Pike are scare out here, and I have no idea where to fish for them. Plus, my new favorite state frowns on the way I used to catch them in winter. 25 tip-ups all baited with 6" live suckers might get me a ticket out here. You think? Go get em, and post the pictures, I'd love to see it. Really, I'm not being a smart a$$. I've got a cool story to tell you about fishing for Pike on Granite Lake about 40 miles south of Fairbanks that has nothing to do with catching fish and more to do with being scared to death of Bears. It was the last time I did a "do it yourself fishing trip". Let me put it this way, I had to throw out my waders, my roommate couldn't stand the smell even after I washed them. Whoever coined the phrase "Being scared S###less", has never seen a Griz up close. The good news is, she much prefered Pike to IFG's. I wasn't even old, fat and tough at the time.

I'm thinking for Ice I'll just stay up in this area like pineview. and hope to get that 58" musky from the ice.

I can also relate to your pike story and the bear. I had something like that happen to me here in utah with a black bear. well keep your line wet.
