Is 2wd okay for launching? Better to have 4wd? I am thinking of heading up this week.

If the ground is wet sometimes 4WD doesn't even help. If the water level is high enough the upper launch is doable with 2WD.

I used to launch all the time at both launches in a 2WD Chevy S10. The launching was always pretty easy at the launch that is further west and down in a draw, but getting out of the draw was sometimes difficult. Had to get a bunch of speed near the bottom and power through the rough steep stuff up high. Many times rejected. That same 2WD truck went 50% underwater at the east launch (full bed and some cab)... but that was a parking brake issue. The 4WD on the dualy that pulled me out came in handy. So, 2WD for the adventurous. 4WD for the cautious.

Your stretching it, you may be calling a towtruck...... Water is still low, and I have yet to pull out in 2WD

4wd it is. I am going to troll for browns in the dark. Will report back.

I'd second the 4WD, it might be possible in 2 but I prefer knowing I'll get out and not hoping... J

The water is way low. I'd be careful.

2wd probably would have worked. Ramps are dry. Caught some small browns trolling rapalas. Lost a couple rainbows. Wimped out on the night fishing but probably that is the best time.

It's hard to fish in the dark. Lot more fun when you can see. I know sometimes you can't beat the night feeding patterns though. Glad you got a few. Any koke action? Later J
