Man, what a day at SH...again! If this is indicative of how this year's fishing season is going to be, It's going to be a great one! Started off with Jigs, catching good numbers in about 10-15' of water. Switched to a crankbait that ran a similar depth, and they hit that just as good. Finally switched to a 4.5" swimbait and game on! Some of the funnest 2 hours of fishing I've ever had...every cast either hooking up or missing. They were wanting those swimbaits so bad they were inhaling them to the point you couldn't even see the swimbait. Good time to get down to SH, it's ON!!! [sly]

Did you catch anymore Crappie on this trip.
I went over last Thursday and had to fish from shore but managed two Bass before I received a phone call and had to leave. I fished about 1/3 of a mile north from the south end of the dam. Only got to fish for about 30 minutes. Was hoping to catch a Crappie, maybe next week.

You are correct, my report was incomplete (rusty, I guess)...water temps at 11am when we arrived were hovering around 57, and had only increased a degree by the time we had left. The water clarity had also improved dramatically from the last time I was out...starting to get back to gin! [sly]

Thanks a bunch. I got family headed down this weekend and always come to me for direction so temps help that. Ill post pics and report when they get back.

If I didn't have to put a new ac compressor, belt, and new tires in a 1 week period I would of join you to SH in a heart beat.

No problem, can't believe I left it out in the first place. I know how it is with family relying on you to put them on fish. Between my family, the in-laws, and friends...I've always got someone coming down to fish. I'm just glad it's SH and catching is never an issue! Size of the catch can vary and requires more searching, but numbers are always there. Good luck!
