I haven't fished Willard for years (since I had my bass boat). I used to fish out of the South Marina and remember bumping some rocks on the way out of the marina a few times.
My new boat is a deeper-draft cuddy-cabin and drafts about 18" - 22". Am I going to be at risk of chewing up my prop or lower unit running out of Wilard right now with my new boat? What Marina has the easiest access to the main lake with the least chance of grounding?
Also are there any shallow water hazards in the main lake that I need to be aware of?
That said, I was hoping to try my luck trolling for wipers. I no longer have my GPS waypoints for this body of water, and was wondering if anyone could provide me with some places to start my wiper hunt, GPS coordinates if possible... PM's are fine.
Also, could someone PM me the coordinates of the submerged 'tire island'?
