I Want to take my son camping and fishing this weekend and I am debating on going to matt warner or panguitch. I have only been to panguitch lake one other time. Is there somewhere around the lake I can park the trailer without being in a campground? Does anyone know the conditions on getting up to matt warner? Is there any snow or anything?

There are definitely some areas close to Panguitch that you could park the trailer without being in a campground; however, not right on the reservoir.

There is no snow at Matt Warner. The lakes on Diamond Mtn are very low. I took my boat up there last week but decided not to attempt to launch due to the mud at the end of the ramp. If you are brave you could probably launch a small boat. I only caught one 12 incher at MW.

Good to know, I think I will stay away from Matt Warner then. Thanks so much for the help. Just trying to get my 5 year old into some fish this weekend.

You cannot camp on Panquitch Lake. The campground dosn't open until Memorial Day. I normally camp on Hatch mountain road there are alot of spots to camp. Went up last weekend and did very well.
